Meat, fish and bones
dairy products
Cardboard food packaging
Flattened cardboard
Vegetarian animal bedding or pet litter
(i.e. rabbit, guinea pig or hamster)


Will not collect:

soil or rubble
glass, plastic or metal
coal or ash
flower pots or trays
general household waste
waxed or foil lined card i.e. washing powder boxes
cat or dog litter and faeces
Tetra pak cartons


Food waste should not be wrapped in carrier or similar plastic bags, as this will contaminate the organic waste preventing the composting process. It is suggested that food scraps be wrapped in a sheet of newspaper before placing them into your bin. This can be used as a liner within your caddy.

Newspaper, magazines, junk mail, catalogues, Telephone Directories
Glass bottles & Jars
Cans
Clean dry clothing, shoes, handbags, curtains, sheets, towels, blankets


Will not collect:

Cardboard, envelopes or sticky labels
Bottletops, jar lids, drinking glasses, tumblers, broken glass, pyrex or crockery
Duvets or pillows
Plastic
