This traditional English Country Pub and Restaurant is tucked just behind Checkley Church, in the centre of the village.

There is always a warm and friendly welcome from your hosts, Alan and Micky Harvey and their staff. The bar offers an extensive beverage choice, with Marstons Pedigree, Worthington and guest beers, plus a wide choice of spirits, liqueurs and soft drinks.

The Bar and Restaurant offer a wide range of enticing a la Carte English and French dishes at excellent value. All meals are freshly cooked by expert chef Alan, using fresh market produce and served with generous helpings, complemented with a choice of good wines.

The Red Lion also offers a "Table d Hote" menu (3 courses - 6 choice) from Tuesday to Friday evening.

Wednesday night is Special Steak Night, with a range of different Steaks and traditional garnish's.
